A Message About Covid-19 and Our “Ask Doctors Anything” Webinar
This is a message that was written by my friend and colleague, Jeff Roussel:
Those who know me know that I love my friends and family deeply and without question. If you are on this thread, it is because I love you and consider you to be part of my circle (yes, my entire family is on this message). We are at an inflection point, and I am called to action. I know from personal experience that it has been very difficult to find good sources of information as you make decisions during this virus situation. Conflicting advice is rampant, and so I hope this can be helpful.
My company (KaiNexus) is led by an ER doctor (his wife is also an ER doctor). He is also one of the smartest and most trustworthy people I know, and I trust his intentions as much as anyone I know. If you consider me a friend and trust my judgment at all, you should be open to listening to him. I did not believe at first, but he helped me to change my thinking and understand the danger we are in, and he helped me to understand that at this time, we all need to do more than simply comply. Speed is the only weapon we have against a rapidly spreading virus. Each of us needs to become an influencer right now and help the people that we love and cherish to understand the situation we now find ourselves in so we can work together to do whatever it takes to lessen the impact it will have on our lives. This virus seems trivial now, but it will not be very soon.
To that end, we are doing a few things to help.
- Please take the time to follow our blog and PLEASE read the three articles I am sharing below that Greg wrote personally (yes, he is on this message too).
- Please feel free to sign up for, share, and listen to our webinar tomorrow, March 18. We have asked three physicians to answer questions that people have sent to us regarding the Coronavirus and Covid-19. This will be an excellent chance for you to listen to healthcare care professionals directly as we progress through this ordeal together. In addition, if you are unavailable at this time, you can sign up anyway and you will automatically receive a link to the recording.

If you have trouble viewing any of this, please let me know and I will send it to you personally. Also, please do not keep this to yourself. Forward it, talk to people, take action. The sooner we stem the tide of this breakout, the easier we will make it on our healthcare system, which will save lives and return us to a sense of normalcy (both economically and from a health standpoint). And even if that does not compel you to take action, please consider doing it for my parents, your parents, my grandparents, your grandparents, my friends with asthma, your friends with diabetes, anyone fighting obesity, healthcare workers everywhere, and the brothers, sisters, wives, children, friends, and family members of those people. The time to act is now. Every day matters and it matters A LOT. Please consider doing so even if you have not yet up to this point.
